Orbital Energy Group Names Robert Burns as OSS President

Orbital Energy Group Inc. reorganized their solar division and named Robert Burns president its Orbital Solar Services (OSS). OSS is now a part of OEG’s telecom division, Gibson Technical Services (GTS). Mike McCracken, GTS’s CEO, will become CEO of both GTS and OSS. Long-term GTS executive, Jon Martin, will become president of GTS, while Scott Stokes, GTS’s chief technical officer, will assume that role for both GTS and OSS.

Burns has more 30 years experience in construction, with a focus on the solar sector. He is well-versed in all aspects construction operations, including pre-construction, budgetary controls, project segments and business development. Burn’s extensive experience includes more 6 GW of solar-renewable projects. He also has a steady rise in company rank and compensation. He has managed numerous construction projects ranging in value from $500,000 to more that $130 millions, and has a track record of completing them safely on time and under budget.
